The Weekend Cue- February 18-19 **CAMP REGISTRATION WEEKEND!

Hello parents, we have so many exciting things to tell you in this week’s Cue. Keep on reading….

This Sunday we will conclude the 2 week series entitled Death And Life with both Middle School Crave & High School Focus. Last week both Nate Reeves (Student Groups Director) and Mike Berry (Students Team Leader) talked about how the cross is not only a place where Jesus died, but it’s also a place where we figuratively die with Him. By denying ourselves and giving up our lives to live for Jesus we find life.
This Sunday, they will conclude by reversing Live To Die and talking about how we Die To Live.
The question is this: Do we just simply going around dying to stuff?
If so, then that seems like a pretty lame life, doesn’t it? It would be if that was the end of the story. But we don’t just die, we die to live. The things we die to help us to experience life to the full. Not a half-life, like our culture or even our own expectations would lead us to live, but a life that becomes a grand adventure. A life that surpasses anything we could even think or dream.
[Cue- Parents, this is a great opportunity to talk about the word surrender. Take some time to ask your student what they think it truly means to surrender. Then, take a moment to ask them what surrender means in context of a life lived for Jesus.]
